I loved my husband very much, but not being able to have children deeply saddened me. We went to the doctors, had tests done, but nothing was found. My hope was diminishing with each passing day. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law were constantly criticizing this situation and blaming me. “There is something wrong with you,” they would say. “You should get another woman, son.”
These words were breaking my heart. My husband was trying to comfort me, but I could see that he was upset too. One day I couldn’t stand it anymore and said to my husband, “Let’s get a divorce.” “I don’t want to upset you. You should marry another woman and have children.”
My husband was shocked. “Never,” he said. “I love you and I don’t want anyone else but you. Even if we can’t have children, that doesn’t change our love.”
My husband’s words moved me deeply. We hugged each other and cried. From that day on, we became even more attached to each other. Even though we couldn’t have children, we had a happy marriage.
Years later, a miracle happened. I found out I was pregnant. Even the doctors were surprised. Nine months later, a healthy daughter was born. The happiness of the whole family was worth seeing. Even my mother-in-law and sister-in-law hugged me and congratulated me. My daughter has been my greatest happiness. I love her very much and I am proud of her. We went through difficult times, but in the end, I saw that love and hope can overcome everything.
