It was the first months of our marriage

Suddenly the power went out. My heart started beating rapidly. I was trapped in the bathroom. The door started to be forced open and I realized that someone was trying to get in. I didn’t know what to do, but I started to move in panic.

When I opened the door, the person in front of me was a man whose face I didn’t recognize. He was holding a flashlight and had a stern expression on his face. At that moment, I instinctively backed away. “What do you want?” I shouted, but my voice was trembling.
The man paused for a moment, then said calmly, “Be quiet, I’m not going to hurt you.” Although hearing these words made me feel a little better, I was still in great fear.
In a moment of courage, I threw the shampoo bottle in my hand at him to distract him and tried to get out of the bathroom quickly. My heart was pounding as I ran down the hallway. I reached the living room and reached for my bag to get my phone, but I couldn’t see anything because the power was out.
I could hear the man coming after me. I found my bag and took out my phone. Just as I was about to dial the number, the man caught me from behind. I tried to scream, but he covered my mouth with his hand. “I told you to be quiet,” he whispered.

At that moment, I heard the front door open and my wife’s voice. He was calling out, “Serap, where are you?” The man paused for a moment, and I took the opportunity to push him away with all my strength. My wife quickly went inside, turned on the light, and saw the man. The man panicked and tried to run away, but my wife caught him and threw him to the ground.

After a short struggle, we subdued the man and called the police. The police arrived shortly after and arrested the man. It turned out that he had entered our house for the purpose of burglary and caught me alone in the bathroom.

What Happened Afterwards
I could not recover for a while after this terrifying incident. My wife and I started to support each other more in order to get over this trauma. We increased our security measures and installed security cameras in our house. We also managed to get past this trauma by getting psychological support.
This incident was the biggest test we experienced in the first months of our marriage. However, by overcoming this challenge, we became a stronger couple. Our trust and love for each other became stronger. This event will remain an unforgettable memory in our lives, but it also showed that together we can overcome any difficulty.
